"Our little IVF miracle!" | Harrisburg, PA Newborn Photographer

I spent the morning with the sweetest little family for their newborn session, photographing their newest addition, Daniella.

Lauren explained how she and her husband, Nick, decided on their daughter's name.

"Daniella was always a name we loved for a girl. We actually thought we were having a boy for the longest time! Once we found out it was a girl, we pretty much knew that was the name we were going with. I also liked that my mom and grandmothers had “D” names. All very special women!"

After struggling with infertility for many years, they were given a 3% chance of having a child on their own.

We underwent many tests and rounds of different treatments that all failed, but we kept fighting and finally found a clinic in New York that was able to give us hope! Once I was pregnant, we were terrified for the longest time to be happy and had to take the pregnancy day by day.

The day Daniella arrived, I felt like we finished a never-ending marathon, and all of our years of anxiety, fear, and sadness melted away!"

When asked about how they told their family, Lauren said,

"It was hard to keep a secret because our immediate family knew when we were going for IVF treatments, etc., and knew we would be finding out if it worked or failed. We found out a few days earlier than expected, so we still managed to pull off a surprise!

I was showing my parents photos of our son, as I normally do, and the last photo I pulled up was a pregnancy test with a rainbow above it. It took them a few seconds for it to click, but once it did, the tears started flowing! We had a great support system through it all, and all of our family and friends were overjoyed."

"We absolutely love being parents! I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometriosis in 2014, and we were unsure if it would ever happen for us. Then, we were blessed with our first miracle, Nico, in 2019. We always knew we would want Nico to have a sibling, but unfortunately, the road to making that happen was a long one with many ups and downs. Adding Daniella to our family made our hearts feel complete. Nico is so in love with his sister and always says “I’m so glad we have a baby”. Although Daniella is only a few months old, you can see the love they already have for each other, and nothing is better than that!"

"It is crazy how quickly you can fall in love with a little person that you just met! As soon as they arrive, you know you will do anything for them. We already knew from experience by having our son. He was our entire world, and I was so worried I would have to divide my love between the two of them. Once Daniella arrived, I realized that you don’t have to make room in your heart; your heart just expands even more!"
