When it came to naming their son, Kelly and her husband found themselves at a crossroads. “One night, after dozens of names were shot down, I read the top 500 baby boy names one by one,” Kelly recalls. Among hundreds of names, Callum was the only one to capture her husband’s attention.

“We thought Cal Cook sounded like a pretty cool kid,” Kelly says.

A Breech Baby and a Smooth C-Section

Callum made his grand entrance via a scheduled C-section after deciding to stay breech—a decision that led to a remarkably smooth delivery. “The operation went so smoothly that the whole operating room was enthusiastically discussing Chick-fil-A!” Kelly shares with a laugh.

Sharing the Joy in the Sweetest Way

The family kept their exciting news under wraps for a full day before sharing it with loved ones. On Kelly’s birthday, her husband brought home a cake with the words “Kelly is pregnant” written in icing, making the announcement as sweet as it was surprising.

Cravings and Sweet Memories

During her pregnancy, Kelly indulged in a few standout cravings that came and went, including Chick-fil-A peach milkshakes, gummy bears, KFC Famous Bowls, and cheese curls.

Watching Callum Grow

While Callum is still revealing pieces of his personality, the family has a hunch he might take after his dad. When asked what the best thing about being a parent is so far, Kelly says it’s a tie between two things: “Callum’s love for us and watching him explore the world for the first time.”
