The 5 Best Spots for Family Photos in the Harrisburg Area

Choosing a location for your photo session doesn’t have to be stressful. Below are my five favorite places for family photos in the Harrisburg Area.
Fort Hunter, Harrisburg
5300 N Front St, Harrisburg, PA 17110
You have most likely heard of Fort Hunter in passing or attending one of its many events.
The stone mansion is beautiful and looks great in the background of photos. It’s also nice to get pictures on the mansion steps.
There’s a playground that is perfect for littles to run around on before or after photo sessions.
Parking is plentiful and close to the main spots where photos will be taken. This is great for kids or grandparents who may have difficulty getting around.
Alumni Memorial Grove Park, Hershey
Meadow Ln, Hershey, PA 17033
This location has so much potential, from wide open fields and a large pond with a bridge to willow trees and Founders Hall. It’s easy to get the best of both worlds with this location. You can get that outdoorsy vibe or the clean urban vibe when getting photos in front of Founders Hall. The possibilities are endless!
Strites Orchard, Harrisburg
1000 Strites Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17111
Strites is such a fun spot, especially in the fall! They have a pumpkin patch, apple orchards, corn maze, sunflowers, and so much more! If you are looking for Christmasy photos, they also have a tree farm. Kids always have so much fun running around looking for apples. Depending on the season, you can pay for the U-Pick and pick apples or other fruit while you get your photos taken.
Strites does charge an annual photography fee, so check with your photographer before having your session here.

If I had one word to describe this location, it would be GORGEOUS. There's the mansion, a beautiful view to enjoy, and plenty of wooded areas to create a warm, cozy, woodsy vibe.
